Our main launch site is Earlham Park situated ajacent to the University of East Anglia giving spectacular views of the historic city of Norwich. Access is via the B1108 simply follow the signs for UEA and Sportspark.  Drive all the way down university drive, it is better to use the main university car park on the left. It is a minimal pay and display but you will be directly opposite the section of park we fly from.

Our satellite site is the Wensum Valley Hotel Golf & Country Club, set in 350 acres of the beautiful Wensum valley, situated in the village of Taverham, adjacent to Norwich, off the A1067 Fakenham Road. NR8 6HP For spectacular views of the city of Norwich, Norfolk Broads and the beautiful Norfolk & Suffolk countryside. Please note that meals can be made available on request prior to or after your flight. If you are staying for a few days you may well consider staying at wensum valley you will find the facitities varied and of a high standard with competitive rates. What better way to compliment your balloon ride.

A balloon flight-ride over Norwich is quite a delight. Norwich is indeed a ‘fine city'. Flying over Norwich in the balloon you will see a wealth of modern and ancient architecture. A host of medieval churches and the magnificent Norman cathedral and Norwich castle dating back to the eleventh century. Ballooning over the city centre you will see the Forum, in inspirational modern design located adjacent the church of Peter Mancroft. During a weekend you may well hear the cheering crowds in support of Norwich city football club at carrow road. As the hot air balloon gains height the Norfolk broads come clearly into view to the east. These low lying wetlands encompass the broads of Wroxham, Ranworth, Hickling and Horsey. The landscape changes dramatically with thatched cottages and winding waterways. This area is rich in wildlife and a beauty to behold. To the north the fine Jacobean county house at Blickling may be viewed during your balloon ride. The market towns of Alysham, Coltishall, Aylmerton, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and North Walsham can normally be seen.

Hot Air Balloon flights-Rides west Norfolk 2010

Our rendezvous is in Great Cressingham IP25 6NN situated 5 miles South of Swaffham just off the A1065. On flights in the Swaffham area it is possible to see the Wash and North Norfolk coastline, the Bedford Levels, Ely Cathedral and Thetford Forest. Within normal flight distances are Grimes Graves, the 4,000 year old remains of Neolithic flint mines, Castle Acre with its 11th Century Priory and 13th Century Castle, and the National Trust Property Oxburgh Hall are all clearly visible from the air. To the north the countryside reveals the gentle rolling landscape around Sandringham , Tring and Burnham Market and Walsingham. We meet outside The Windmill Public House in Great Cressingham, where meals are available upon return from your balloon flight. If you are looking for a balloon ride in east anglia the county of Norfolk has much to offer. The whole county covers more than two thousand square miles with great geographic diversity. All of our venues provide ample parking and clean facilities.
